Manitoba Parents for German Education Inc. (MPGE) is a dedicated non-profit organization made up of parents deeply committed to the preservation, promotion, and growth of German language education across Manitoba.
We believe strongly in providing high-quality German learning opportunities—through bilingual and immersion programs—that celebrate cultural heritage and equip students for a multilingual future.

We are parents who are deeply invested in our children's access to German language education here in Manitoba. Our mission is to support and enrich the educational journey by celebrating and preserving German language, culture and heritage within our school system.
MPGE focuses on:
the support and promotion of the German language learning opportunities in Manitoba
facilitating events to enable students and families to speak German in real-life settings
fostering a German community within the multicultural fabric of Manitoba

Why learn German?
Manitoba has a large German population with over 130,000 registering in the 2021 census as being of German descend. Additionally, Manitoba is uniquely equipped to teach children German as one of only two provinces with an active English-German bilingual public school program.
